The Lake of the Ozarks, located in mid-Missouri has 55,000 miles of waterways and is the premier location for full time residents, second homeowners as well as visitors-where every day is a vacation!
The 1,150 miles of shoreline and 54,000 acres offers something for everyone.
Premier golf courses abound-15 public by designers such as Arnold Palmer, Tom Weiskopf, Trent Jones Sr., Bruce Devlon and Robert Hagge. The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Porto Cima is private.
The Lake area communities are close knit with the east side encompassing Lake Ozark and Osage Beach, the west side with Camdenton, Sunrise Beach, Greenview, Laurie and Gravois Mills.
Nature surrounds you. Bald eagles nest at the dam-with an eagle watch celebration every year, deer forage in the woods, blue herons soar above the lake & fox and turkeys can be seen along the roadways.
Shopping choices have increased drastically with addition of Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Marshalls and the Hy-Vee grocery store. Restaurant choices also continue to expand with the addition of Applebees, Panera Bread and Chili's. The Osage Beach Premium Outlet Mall continues to draw shoppers from around the midwest.
Today's diner has many choices when choosing a restaurant. Many have great lake views like JB Hook's, Baxter's and Bentley's on Bus. Hwy 54, H. Toads and Ruthie D.'s on Horseshoe Bend Pkwy (HH), and the Blue Heron sitting atop a bluff overlooking the channel, also on Horseshoe Bend Parkway (HH).
