Lake Area Information
The Lake of the Ozarks, located in mid-Missouri has 55,000 miles of waterways and is the premier location for full time residents, second homeowners as well as visitors-where every day is a vacation!
The 1,150 miles of shoreline and 54,000 acres offers something for everyone.
Premier golf courses abound-15 public by designers such as Arnold Palmer, Tom Weiskopf, Trent Jones Sr., Bruce Devlon and Robert Hagge. The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Porto Cima is private.
The waterfront the Lake are close knit with the east side encompassing Lake Ozark and Osage Beach, the west side with Camdenton, Sunrise Beach, Greenview, Laurie and Gravois Mills.
Nature surrounds you. Bald eagles nest at the dam, deer forage in the woods, blue herons soar above the waterways, and fox can be seen strutting down the secluded roads.
Shopping choices have increased drastically with addition of Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Marshalls and the Hy-Vee grocery store. Restaurant choices also continue to expand with the addition of Applebees, Panera Bread and Chili's. The Osage Beach Premium Outlet Mall continues to draw shoppers from around the midwest.
Today's diner has many choices when choosing a restaurant. Many have superior lake channel views like JB Hooks and Baxters on Bus. Hwy 54, the Horney Toad at the 7 mile marker off of Horseshoe Bend Pkwy (HH), and the Blue Heron sitting atop a bluff overlooking the channel, also off of Horseshoe Bend Parkway.
